The Roman town of Nida, in the province of Upper Germany, lies beneath the modern district of Heddernheim in Frankfurt. In 2018 a grave of about AD 230–270 yielded a rolled silver amulet whose Latin text invokes Jesus Christ, read by CT scanning in 2024: one of the earliest Christian witnesses north of the Alps.
